30-Year Fixed Mortgage Rate Continues Decline After Dropping 10 Basis Points Last Week

Mortgage rates for 30-year fixed mortgages fell this week, with the current rate borrowers were quoted on Zillow Mortgage Marketplace at 4.6 percent, down from 4.62 percent at this same time last week.

The 30-year fixed mortgage rate peaked at 4.68 percent last Thursday before dropping to as low as 4.58 percent over the weekend. The rate rose again to 4.65 percent yesterday before falling to the current rate.

Additionally, the 15-year fixed mortgage rate this morning was 3.8 percent and for 5/1 ARMs, the rate was 3.1 percent.
