Swift snagged the private piece of Beverly Hills real estate for $3.97 million. Not too shabby when you consider the median Beverly Hills home value is $1.88 million.
The CoverGirl spokesperson has long made Nashville her home and recently purchased a luxury estate for her parents in the country music-centic city, according to US Weekly, but the 22-year-old singer was spending increasingly more time in California to justify her new purchase.
Swift’s 2,826-sq ft Beverly Hills home was built in 1941, and unlike most Beverly Hills estates, it is Cape Cod-style, rather than the typical Spanish-style that is so prevalent in the area. According to the listing, the house “exudes warmth and charm reminiscent of the New England countryside.” Situated on a private, gated 1.37-acre lot, the house has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The master bath sits on the main floor and includes dual baths and walk-in closets. The formal living room and dining room have fireplaces and French doors open throughout the house to outdoor patios. On the manicured grounds is a 1-bedroom, 1-bath guest house with full kitchen and living room, plus a tennis court. Not included however, is the requisite celebrity pool.
This isn’t the award-winning singer’s first home. She bought her first place in Nashville in December 2009 for $1.99 million. According to Real Estalker, the penthouse condo in downtown Nashville is in a complex that also houses “Dancing With the Stars” dancer-turned-country-music-singer Julianne Hough, “Kings of Leon” lead singer Caleb Followill, and American Idol founder Simon Fuller.
