Inman Park Festival Each Spring, Inman Park celebrates its unique and character-filled community with Atlanta's biggest Street Market, the Inman Park Festival.

It takes place on the last weekend of April and features eclectic art, antiques, hand-made jewelry clothing and other wares, live music, food and a fun and quirky street parade. Floats, bands, drill teams, jugglers, clowns and even politicians make their way through the residential streets of Inman Park as thousands of onlookers enjoy the spirited, whimsical nature of the parade. The parade is led by the "Inman Park Butterfly," and the parade ends with the appearance of the "Inman Park Trash Monarch," perched atop the throne-a street sweeper.

Inman Park has some of the most beautiful and historic homes in the city, and the festival is the perfect opportunity to get an up-close and personal look at a few on their Tour of Homes. Available to festival-goers at various times during the weekend, it's one of the most popular events of the festival as it features turn-of-the-century Craftsman bungalows and Victorians, as well as loft conversions and contemporary designs. Check out the current inventory of homes for sale in Inman Park.

There are food and alcohol vendors on just about every corner, and the free live music offered includes blues, swing, jazz, western and rock 'n roll. The family-friendly event also features a "dance festival," performed by Atlanta's best modern dance and ballet companies. In addition to the endless offerings for adult enjoyment, there are also plenty of kids' activities such as face painting, a giant slide, obstacle course and pony rides. This is a free event that welcomes everyone, and it's not to be missed.
